A training video teaches balloon delivery staff to adopt company personas, practice birthday greetings, and score each other on their presentation skills.
Show transcript0:03 Welcome to volume 4 of the Qualitex Balloon Network curriculum series. 0:08 Let's review some interesting facts about balloons and gas. In the event of stray balloons, some kind of safety net across the cab section is critical. 0:17 You will go out with this bouquet of balloons, and you'll be dressed in a certain way, and you are representing the company, Beautiful Balloons. 0:25 So what you need to do is develop a persona. This, this isn't just I'm Jamie Smith, it's I'm Jamie with beautiful balloons, and you are totally at one with the company. 0:35 In fact, these people that see you and hear you, when they think of you, they think company. 0:40 Happy birthday. 0:41 Well, all right. Jamie. 0:44 Happy birthday. 0:45 Oh, that was cheerful, wasn't it? Mike, try another one. 0:47 Happy birthday. 0:49 Okay, dropping your guard, that's what this is about. While your staff practices these scripts with silly voices, they're also practicing different personas and developing their own delivery styles. 1:01 You as yourself can just be invisible, so that the persona we see through you is the beautiful balloons persona. 1:08 Score each person and evaluate each presentation on the following points. 1:14 The quality of their smile, introducing themselves first, stating why they're here, presentation of the bouquet, making the recipient feel special, singing happy birthday, plugging the company name or giving out literature, 1:30 restating the birthday wish or other announcement, bowing or curtsying, exiting with a smile, and controlling the event throughout. 1:40 Following these strategies will keep you on the cutting edge of balloon deliveries. 1:45 I'm Cynthia Hyer, and we'll see you next time on the Qualitex Balloon Network.
