It's a common drink throughout most places in the United States, yet it remains a mystery in others.0:23Some people have asked me how I make my iced tea,0:28and I hope this video will demonstrate how I do it, even though the process differs from person to person.0:40Enjoy.0:50First, take a small pot and fill it three quarters of the way full with water.0:57Next, place the pot on the stove and heat it on high until the water comes to a boil.1:04While you're waiting, get 4 or 5 small tea bags and remove their cardboard tags.1:12Removing the tags will keep the tea from tasting like cardboard.1:27When the water gets warm, place the tea bags into the water and stir to get the water flowing through them.1:46Then fill a large tea pitcher halfway full and put just under one cup of sugar into it.1:53This measuring cup measures half a cup, so it takes two scoops from it.2:25And stir.2:42When the water comes to a boil, turn down the heat a bit to keep it from boiling out of the pot, but keep it boiling fairly well.3:03While it's boiling, you can tend to other things, like the dishes.3:16Or you can just watch the local wildlife.3:25After 10 or 15 minutes, turn off the burner and allow the water to boil down.3:41Then pour the water in the pot into the tea pitcher, keeping the tea bags in the pot to throw away later.3:59And stir.4:13Congratulations.
