Show transcript0:01 Impact segment tonight, a video posted on YouTube got millions of hits, but it is a bit disturbing. 0:06 It shows a father and his 7-year-old son, Nakar, after the boy received some anesthesia from a dentist. 0:12 How did it go? 0:15 I didn't feel anything. 0:18 Yeah. 0:21 Uh, I feel 0:24 Kind of felt good, didn't it? 0:26 Uh. 0:29 Is this real life? 0:31 Yeah, this is real life. 0:33 Okay, now... 0:36 Okay, now I have two fingers. 0:40 You feel good? 0:42 I can't see anything. 0:45 Yes, you can. 0:49 Stay in your seat. 0:55 Joining us now from our New York studio, David DeVore, the father of the now 8-year-old boy. 0:59 So, Mr. DeVore, you can understand why some people think that's exploiting the child, not good for him, can't you? 1:04 Oh, absolutely. I understand. As a dedicated parent, I actually appreciate the concern, but I can assure you David was well taken care of after the procedure, and he's doing great now. 1:16 Okay, but, you know, for the rest of his life, this is going to be on tape, and and that's what I always say to people. 1:21 Be careful what you do with tape because of the internet. You know, I- I- would you have done it again? 1:27 Would you do this again after knowing what you know now? 1:30 Oh, absolutely. Uh, like I said, it's been a very, it's been a very positive experience for our family, uh. 1:36 Why has it been positive? What's positive about it? 1:38 Well, we have, uh, used it to, I mean, people's reaction has been very positive, except for, uh, Savea few, which we understand, but, uh... 1:47 Well, what's the positive? Tell me what the positive is. You got a woozy kid. 1:51 What, what's the positive? 1:53 Well, eh, because it is a, uh, innocent, the, the reality is it's just an innocent exchange between a father and a son, uh, after a dentist appointment. 2:02 Uh, people have really identified with the, uh, the quotes that he says in the, uh, in the video. 2:07 Is this real life? Why is this happening to me? And, uh, you know, many of the people that have, uh, been positive with us have been parents and, uh, uh, have been in similar situations. 2:20 All right, look, I would never do this to my kids. I think it's a little exploitative. 2:23 I don't want voyeurism in my family. I disagree with you, but, you know, I don't think you're a bad guy. 2:29 Mm-hmm. 2:29 And the fact that you'd come in and make your case, we're going to let the audience decide on it. 2:33 Well, I, I understand, I understand that. It's, uh, it's, um, but the, the, the, what made me upset was to compare us to the, uh, the lady that was blowing pot smoke in her baby's face in the MySpace. 2:45 Okay. I, I, I got that. 2:47 MySpace. 2:47 But I, I, I, you know, I feel a little queasy about it, Mr. DeVore. 2:50 I understand. 2:50 But I appreciate you coming on. 2:51 I appreciate, I appreciate your concern. 2:54 Okay.
