Show transcript0:11I'm Juliana Makadis, filling in for Clifford Baines, who is interviewing a new guest host in his office.0:16Robots are playing a greater role in our lives than ever before, cleaning our houses, driving our cars.0:22Are we becoming an overly mechanized society?0:25Well, robots are a part of our modern society.0:28Of course.0:28I mean, a vital part, and they make everything easier for us.0:30We were talking about this in the human section of the bus on the way over to the studio.0:34We agreed, I don't think that, uh, robots pose any danger to us at all.0:38Now, I owe just as much to robots as any other human does, but the 10 p.m.0:43curfew for all things made of flesh, well, it feels a little restrictive to me.0:47No.0:47In what way? When the automated police force orders you inside, that's just them doing their job.0:52That's what the cavity search robot said this morning at the office.0:55Mm-hmm. That's what my doctor robot says every time he gives me my dose of anti-fertility pills.0:59They're doing a terrific job of being our caretakers.1:02But the Worldwide Robotics Corporation did promise that every new robot built would be installed with a subservience chip.1:08Mm-hmm.1:08And that went right out the window.1:09That was voted down by a majority of robots in Congress.1:12Why would they turn against us? It doesn't make any sense. We're the ones who created them,1:16Mm-hmm.1:16or the, um, at least the alpha model.1:18Right.1:18Speaking of robots and politics,1:19Mm-hmm.1:20last week, President Exekutron gave a speech to all humans, and he said to remain calm and stay indoors.1:25It was beautiful.1:25It was such a beautiful speech.1:27Where he spoke about, uh, building an endless sea of shining, perfect robots.1:32Uh,1:33Such an image.1:33I was weeping in my cell.1:35You have to give it a lot of credit.1:37But what about Exekutron's recent comments about, and I wrote these down, oxygen breathing weaklings and organ sacs?1:43You know, a lot of Americans were very offended by those1:45Politics.1:46Yeah, the president was just speaking to its destroy all humans base.1:49Happens every election cycle, Robert, you know that.1:51You can't take it serious.1:52I don't trust President Executron's policies. I need to...1:59Uh, I, I really don't think there's an issue here. Uh, humans die, so that's a flawed system.2:04That is.2:05Robots live on forever, so that2:06Right.2:06has to be perfect.2:06Right, praise to the wise ones, our robot masters.2:09Yeah.
