Show transcript0:01 Let's pat it out with these boys. Make some space for Hamish and Andy! 0:13 Body pop. Body pop. 0:19 How's it going? 0:20 Uh, well, hello. 0:22 Yeah. 0:23 Looking, looking very sporty. 0:24 So embarrassing when you wear the same thing, isn't it? 0:27 What's all this about? 0:28 Because we're doing 0:28 And why are you panting so much? 0:30 Just because we did that one. You saw us run, it was like 10 meters. 0:33 We're addicted to sport, and this week we have upset, probably, the Olympic people. 0:39 Yep. 0:39 Because with Beijing just a few months away, we've accidentally created the biggest sport the planet's ever seen. 0:45 Really now? 0:45 Yeah, yeah, no, I hope it's not too much to say that, but... 0:48 It's the right amount, Pam, and um, I mean, it's all to do with getting inside people's personal space. 0:54 Mm. We call it personal space invading. 0:56 Yeah. 0:56 Brilliant. 0:56 Give you, I'll give you an example. Just close your eyes for a second. 0:59 Okay. 0:59 Okay, the idea being, if you can guess where Hamish is in your personal space, open them again. 1:07 Hey. 1:07 How's it going? 1:08 That's... Hey, guy. Did you see him? 1:12 Right up here? 1:13 Oh, hey! 1:15 Hey! 1:16 That's 1:16 The thing is, that's uncomfortable. 1:18 Back to safe mode. 1:19 After about 10 seconds there, you caught Hamish. 1:22 Yep. 1:22 Um, but the idea of our sport was to not get caught, 1:25 Yeah. 1:26 but be that close to people. 1:27 It's all about getting close without them knowing it. Really, the whole world is an arena 1:31 Mm. 1:31 for our sport too, for personal space invading. 1:33 And um, it's going to be big. 1:35 Yeah. 1:35 It is going to be massive, and that's why tonight we've kind of angling the whole package at the American market. 1:41 No, not Australia. 1:42 Well, we just feel Australia's a little bit small. We we love Australia, but it's gonna be massive, so, um, yes, we have angle it at the American market, and let's cross live to the action right now. 1:54 Yes, ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the Personal Space Invading Championships. 1:59 In the red corner, weighing in at a bit too much, is Hamish Blake, whose skills include tying knots and et cetera. 2:06 In the blue corner, it's glamour boy Andy Lee. He's a specialist in explosives and dating girls way out of his league. 2:15 Ghosting. Ghosting requires competitors to walk as close as they can behind passersby. 2:20 Clock starts when they've engaged the target. Longest ghost wins the round. 2:24 Well, it's a beautiful day for ghosting Hamish Blake to kick things off. 2:28 Here he goes. He's engaged, very close, very confident. He's tacked right on the back of him. 2:35 He's like a conjoined twin. This is beautiful. He's got the rhythm, and the guy's got headphones, so it's a good target to pick. 2:43 It's got to be a record. Oh! 2:46 Oh, sorry, mate. You're OK. 2:47 Exceptional ghosting. Ghosting from the top shelf. 2:51 Blake with a time of 15.14 makes it tough for Eddie, but let's see what he serves up. 2:57 This will be taking its toll on him. Mind games here. Is he? 3:01 Is he? Is he on? Is he on? Oh, that is terrible. Boo! 3:07 Oh! He knows it. He knows it. He's not happy. That was amateur hour. 3:15 Hamish 1, Andy nil. Hamish kicking off round 2. 3:21 Sneaky start from behind the green box. I like it. He's on. He's engaged well, puffed up and puffed. 3:31 I thought I was just going to get his face smashed off. 3:34 Blake with an action-packed 6.21. Here's Andy's reply. 3:38 Is he, is he, is he? Yes, yes, yes, yes. 3:40 He's right up there. The public have noticed. People are onto him. 3:43 What's he doing? He knows he's onto a big one. This is ghosting. 3:49 This is ghosting at its best. Yes, Andy, keep going. Go get there, mate. 3:54 This is big. This is big. This is got, he's got him. Oh, he's got him. 3:59 That is very close to a record. He's got him. Lee knows it. The crowd knows it. 4:04 Andy Lee, you are the phantom, the ghost who walks. Well done. 4:08 There you have it. Lee has brought it back from nowhere, forcing us to a tie break round. 4:14 Speed ghosting. Speed ghosting is exactly like ghosting, but speedier. 4:19 Sudden death tiebreaker now. Both competitors know the importance of being limber. 4:24 Blake to kick it off. Everything riding on this. 4:27 Oh no, he's not, is he? He's, he's not going to double, is he? 4:31 Surely not. No, he hasn't. Nearly a horrific decision, though. 4:36 Uh, he didn't engage, so he gets another go. 4:38 Focus. So sloppy. Come on. 4:42 Seems to be targeting the girl in white, and a much better approach from the hidden position. 4:47 Creepy, creepy start, and he's on. It looks good. 4:53 Oh, got it. But not a bad burst. You'd be happy with that in a tie breaker. 4:59 Blake cele- 5:00 Breaks with his trademark breakdancing moves, ecstatic with a 404. 5:04 He knows he has his work cut out for him. It all comes down to this next speed ghost. 5:12 Is this a child or a woman? It's too far away to see. 5:15 He's, he's up to it. I can't believe this. It is a woman, I think. 5:20 He is in step. He is speed ghosting. He is ghosting this woman or child, basically. 5:26 This is what it's all about. 5:28 That, ladies and gentlemen, was textbook ghosting. I don't care that he's won. 5:33 This is what I live for. This is what I live for. 5:36 There you have it. Lee's got it. He's won the championship. Well done to Lee. 5:41 No, man. 5:42 Until next time, it's back to you in the studio, Rob. 5:47 Thank you very much, official American voiceover man. 5:51 Well, I guess I have to say congratulations, Andy, 5:54 Thank you. 5:54 on the win. Very well done. And boys, congratulations on creating a fantastic new sport. 5:59 Awesome. 5:59 Ghosting's the real winner. 6:00 Ghosting, yes! 6:02 Amy Schneider.
